Steamer`s Grillhouse in Los Gatos

I simply liked their food. I always get great customer service here. The place is always clean and the employees are always very welcoming. Highly recommended.

My husband has a conference in Asilomar every October and our first stop after the San Jose airport is Steamer’s for what we affectionately call “The Sandwich”: Shrimp BLT. Perfection!

Good place for a business lunch. Table cloths, great service, great food and not too crowded.

Really great food and ambience. Was here for a work party on a Sunday evening. The food was excellent, from appetizers to dessert. Scallops were done perfectly and the desserts were phenomenal. I'm still thinking about the brownie ice cream sandwich. Definitely stop by here if you can! Another plus was the noise level wasn't very loud at all.

The clam chowder was amazing and the service was very good.

I always stop here on my way back to Santa Cruz for lunch and sometimes dinner. I've never been disappointed with the food or service. Lunch menu is great; sandwiches, salads, and burgers are excellent. Oh, and the fish tacos are awesome. Parking can sometimes be a challenge, but usually one or two circles around the lot and a space will open up. There is a Full bar, and the selections are good.

Great place for cocktails and really well prepared meals. Yum!

One of my favorite restaurants in Los Gatos! I have never had a disappointing experience when dining here and the food is so good. The pistachio salmon special is amazing as well as the seas food risotto!

Greg always makes our visit enjoyable. Fish is stellar every time. I love anything grilled here.

Delicious seafood! The mussels appetizer was really good. We also had the seabass and seafood linguine as the main courses . The cocktails were ok, but the food was really the highlight here.

Steamers is one of our favorite restaurants we go to for special occasions and celebrations. I like the atmosphere and food quality is great. I wish the service was consistent. Sometimes the waiters are too busy and it affects the service.

Heard about this place for a long time. The location is awesome. The food is good but kinda pricey. The dim sum is very pretty.

Great location with indoor and outdoor seating area. I only had a small salad so I can’t say much for the food. It is a bit pricy. A small salad with not much toppings costs $10 which was a little expensive for my budget but I’m sure most locales won’t have any problem with it.

Relating to the Covid19, they're offering outdoor dining but the face cover is not being enforced! Out of the 30-40 diners, 4 of them were not wearing masks.Anyway,we had a wonderful dinner last night. The table service was excellent, Bradley, our waiter gave us a few suggestions but since we've dined here before we already knew what we wanted.We had the seared scallops, linguine with shrimp and pepperoni pizza. We all loved our meals, especially during these times.

I visit this marvelous place every couple of days as I love the special atmosphere that is exist in this restaurant. The team is highly friendly and experienced. The service is certainly efficient. Needless to say, the food you eat is outstanding. I came more than once and I was always satisfied. The pay is decent. I highly suggest this restaurant to to all.

Always good food, and great service.

This was my first. Went there to celebrate my father-in-law's 85th birthday. Got there a little early to have a cocktail at the bar before dinner. Kelsey was our server in the lounge. She was very prompt and pleasant. The ambience of the lounge and restaurant is perfect, classy and quiet. Our server, Kelly was very professional and attentive. My father-in-law and I ordered the Pacific Seabass. My husband and mother-in-law ordered the NY steak. OMG to everything. One of the best Seabass I've had in a long time. When my father-in-law took his first bite I honest thought he found utopia. After my first bite "he did". This is a great place for a perfect evening to celebrate 85 years of life with someone you really love.

I visit this place a lot since I work close by. I like how the customer service is always awesome and they keep the spot neat constantly. Pricing is convenient and they serve sizeable portions.

We dined around 7:30 PM on a Friday night.Snap.. Service was extremely prompt.We only waited 5-10 minutes. We sat at a table in the Bar area.The Steamers were excellent!Cocktails excellent!The Short Ribs were excellent!When in Los Gatos...go to Steamer's.Enough said!

Had a very good experience in this place with my wife. The food comes rapidly and the customer service is just good. Prices are convenient.

This place is located in the beautiful downtown of Los Gatos. We ordered chicken skewers, halibut pan fried and a New York steak (large).The seasoning looked just fine on the menu, but definitely tasted better with the food. The fish and steak were cooked to perfection, and was very flavorful (though little salty). The side veggies too were cooked with a perfect reduction of different flavours and make it complement well with the meats.There are a few smallish misses, especially in terms of service. You would expect the greeter and the waiter try to make a connection with you, but that never happened.Overall, it was a positive experience, if not the best.

I like this place very much. there is a friendly spirit. The cuisine is exeptionaly good. the service is dynamic and the stuff is professional. The cost is satisfactory. greatly recommend.

I know this is mostly a dumpling/dim sum place, as the name suggests, but I go more for the basic mains at a Chinese restaurant. I ordered the cumin lamb, a favorite of mine. Not as heavily cumin-drenched as most such dishes, it was outstanding for the lamb, which was both moist and fairly crispy, a great combo.Not a very large dish, it was well supplemented by an extra order of a bowl of rice, also not too large, and also very moist.Service seemed a little quaint, but it was early for dinner and very quiet (i.e. not busy), so there was no trouble.

Love this place. I have lunch here often. I love the outdoor seating. Our server Haro was the best!

This roomy restaurant in Los Gatos features a variety of seafood in a traditional restaurant setting. While the food was cooked properly and tasted good enough, there were several issues that made this a less than ideal meal. First, the pricing is quite high, even by Los Gatos standards. Second, the waiter was lazy and half-hearted in his attempts to provide basic service. Third, be aware that happy hour pricing is not available only on the bar side, not on the restaurant side. Fourth, we saw two of the waiters wrapping up leftovers, using their BARE HANDS to transfer the food into the container. The experience was subpar and overpriced. Not recommended.

First outing after months of sip. It was an amazing Los Gatos outdoor dining experience.I had the snapper vera cruz, sooo good. The service was wonderful. I will be back...

last night was the first time we visited this good restaurant. But It is absolutely not the last time. We enjoyed the evening a lot with the excellent service, with the excellent meal and wine and with the honest payment. We will no doubt return there again.

I share this review after my third visit to this restaurant. This has become one of my favorite restaurants to dine at. The service is laid back, welcoming and on point. The atmosphere is such that I would feel comfortable going on a date or with a party of friends. My favorite part of this restaurant is the food. The boat scallops with mushroom risotto is my favorite dish. I have not had anything that disappointed. The clam chowder and raw oysters are also a favorite here. Definitely worth visiting and definitely worth coming back to.

Steamer's is one of my go-to spots for lunch. It's not inexpensive but the food and service are very, very good. Favorites for me are the steak Cobb salad and the Asian glazed salmon. Always perfect! For the salmon, I often substitute green beans for the funny fried potato strings. It's even healthier that way and leaves calories for one of their delicious martinis.

I visit this excellent restaurant from time to time because I love the ambiance that is part of this restaurant. The personel is extraordianrillyremarkably attentive and professional. The service is pretty rapid. Most important, the food they cook is outstanding. I ate there many times and I was never disappointed. The pay is honest. I recommend this place to my friends and family.

Hands down my favorite restaurant in LG. It used to be across the street a very long time ago so this iconic place has withstood the test of time. A must visit if you like to eat.

Great food, well prepared. Very popular, weekends tend to be crowded, depending on time of arrival, you may have a wait for a table. Service can be slow, but the wait will be worth it. Other times during the week are no problem. This is not an inexpensive dining experience, but not the most expensive in town, definitely reasonable for high-end Los Gatos. Parking can be difficult, so ride share is recommended. Full disclosure: I was once a supplier for this restaurant, but that was seven years ago.
